The Play for Patrick Tennis Tournaments support research into novel and less toxic therapies for neuroblastoma and acute myeloid leukemia, two deadly pediatric cancers. Childhood cancer remains the number one disease killer of American children despite recent gains made for certain pediatric cancers such as acute lymphocytic leukemia. Over 25% of children diagnosed with cancer will be dead within 5 years. Those who do survive face life-long serious side effects from the “cure” such as secondary cancers, infertility, heart damage, and scoliosis among others. We find the current state of childhood cancer treatment simply unacceptable. With your support, we can change how children with cancer are treated.
The Play for Patrick Tennis
Tournaments feature a
women's round robin in the
morning and men's round
robin in the afternoon.
Players sign up with a partner
and are grouped according to
playing ability.
The round robin will
feature five segments of thirty
minute play.
The Play for Patrick Tennis Tournaments feature men’s and women’s round robins followed by a family barbecue Friday evening. All proceeds benefit Press On to CURE Childhood Cancer, a named fund of CURE Childhood Cancer (www.pressonfund.org or www.curechildhoodcancer.org).
